Here is your question.
What is your trading edge (defined) which gives you an advantage over the majority of losing traders?
Simple question and just because people answer it, doesn't mean they even get it right!
Here are answers often given that are wrong and lead to losses - these are NOT a trading edge.
- I am following an expert or guru he knows best
- I have a Cheap Forex Robot and its got a simulated track record, all I have to do is follow it
- I have a system that predicts the future
- I work hard so I am bound to be rewarded
- I am clever so I deserve success
- I have a complicated system its clever and will win
- I follow breaking news
- I am going to day trade and scalp and keep risk low and rewards high
All the above are NOT a trading edge and are just Forex myths losers believe.
To win you need an edge and it should be based on the following.
A simple system, you understand and have confidence in which you can trade with discipline. It doesn't matter what your edge is (all traders have different ones) but it must be logical and you must have confidence in it, as this leads to discipline the key to Forex trading success.
This edge will allow you to trade it with discipline through losing periods (all traders have them) when the market takes your money and makes you look a fool for sometimes weeks on end.
If you can trade with discipline and keep losses small, you will hit a home run and profits but you must keep trading your system with discipline if you don't you don't have one!
So it really is simple, to win you need the right Forex education, from this comes a trading edge and the confidence, to trade the system with discipline, for long term currency trading success.
